Biker Group Groundworks have successfully delivered an initial 33-week principal contractor period at Bishops Vale, Northallerton for our key client, Taylor Wimpey plc North Yorkshire alongside a consortium infrastructure remit for Persimmon Homes.

The 33-week programme was delivered safely, on-programme and in line with client requirements and full NHBC compliance with fantastic scores throughout. This included the following remit.

✅ Site set up established and maintained throughout the PC period.

✅ Contaminated areas segregated, excavated to clean cover levels, and tested prior to commencement of Earthworks in areas of the scheme.

✅ Bulk earthworks involving Topsoil and vegetation strip alongside cut and fill utilising site-won material, whilst managing all within a site with tight boundary constraints and a fast-paced programme meaning stockpiling was only a short term and well sequenced option.

✅ Full adoptable drainage installed including sewer connection in compliance with Yorkshire Water.

✅ Full highway including consortium road and site entrance adjustments onto bypass in compliance with North Yorkshire County Council Highways.

✅ A 631m3 Surface Water Attenuation tank installed for which early-stage design support ensured that the correct system and manufacturer were used, whilst offering up value engineering.

✅ 48 units installed to DPC level including Foundations, Substructure Masonry, Suspended Floors and Private Drainage.

✅ Private driveways installed alongside adoptable footpaths, all to binder course level.

✅ Main services excavated and backfilled across site alongside Plot services thus minimising any future excavation works in and around the Plots prior to completion.
